Our Commitments

SYNE

We are Chloé (on the left) and Claire (on the right), the co-founders of Syne.

Through our brand, we are committed to offering environmentally friendly Made in France saddle pads designed with respect for the environment and horses.

This project was made possible thanks to a multitude of people engaged with us and we thank them.

Upcycling

We opt for an upcycling approach which helps us act against overproduction and overconsumption.

Our materials visible on the top of the saddle pad are forgotten fabrics that we have recovered through UpTrade, a French company based in Ile-de-France. These are the unsold and unused items of brands or manufacturing workshops. We receive rolls of limited quantities and various compositions, which confirms our desire to create small production runs.

Tapis synergie bleu et sa maille 3D absorbante et respirante

Technical fabrics

Our textile in contact with the horse is made of 3D mesh. This provides good perspiration absorption, optimal ventilation and dries quickly during and after use of our saddle pad. It is manufactured at Balas Textile, in Lyon, France.

The supplies, our bias and straps, used for the making come from France.

Made In France

Syne is committed to maximizing the steps and materials located in France.

Our products are thought out, designed and prototyped in our studio in Paris by ourselves.

For the garment, we decided to do a French production in order to have quality and a local know-how. We want the quilting and garment workshops to be nearby so that we can see for ourselves the progress of production and ensure the well-being of our workers. We are therefore committed to limiting greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the journeys of our products and supplies.

Machine à coucdre

Production

The quilting of our saddle pads is currently carried out by the Baudchon establishment, located in Clary. They have specialized in this technique since 1972.

We also collaborate with the DPL Hervier Production workshop which deals with the clothing industry in Châtillon-sur-Indre. There is a family that has worked together for 4 generations.

Horse welfare

Animal welfare is also a very important pillar for Syne. In the pursuit of our approach, we are mobilizing for the horses. We want to create an atmosphere of mutual respect between man and animal. We encourage knowledge of the horse’s well-being as well as relational development with it.
Our saddle pads have been designed and tested to adapt to the anatomy of the horse. The fabric in contact with the animal is also thought out: it absorbs the horse’s perspiration while drying quickly.

Sac noir

Environmentally friendly Packaging

Our zero-waste thinking extends to you. Receive your saddle pad in its compostable packaging!

We deliver our products without a brand brochure or other document that creates additional energy and waste.

With their double adhesive strips, the packaging can be reused for a second trip for your personal shippings!

If you do not have a compost available, ask for your cardboard packaging.
In a landfill, due to lack of oxygen, the bag cannot decompose. It is therefore important to put it in an appropriate place, otherwise the zero waste approach turns into pollution.
